Just as it is the case with Corniglia, in Manarola there is no beach proper. However, in its vicinity, somewhere between Corniglia and Manarola, on the hiking trail which connects the two villages, tourists can spot two sunbathing and swimming venues. The first can get quite crammed in the peak season. It consists of a concrete pier and some scattered rocks.
On the other hand, the second of these beaches, called Punta Buonfiglio, is more of a secluded swimming and sunbathing venue. The access is fairly difficult, but the effort is worth making since this scenic stretch is washed by clear waters and pegged out by rocks which brighten the horizontal line of the beach. Bringing refreshments and other necessities is recommendable.
