Corniglia proper does not have a beach, since the said village is the only landlocked resort in Cinque Terre. However, in its vicinity there is one of the most picturesque beaches in the region, the so-called Guvano Beach. What is unique about this beach it is the only nudist beach in the region, so one has to have the right mindset in order to enjoy their sunbathing moments on the Guvano Beach. This is a free public beach, and the access is quite difficult. The beach is located some 20 minutes from hiking trail between Vernazza and Corniglia, and it is signposted at about halfway between the two villages.
Tourists appreciate the beach for its cleanliness and peacefulness. The fact it is a secluded venue come with ups and downs. It is excellent for people who want to avoid the hustle of a typical crowded beach, but, at the same time, it is also far from any accommodation solutions or restaurants. This means one has to be fully geared up with food, drinks and other necessities in order to spend a rewarding day on the Guvano Beach.
